HELP! We are experiencing shortages in our inventory of some incontinence supplies.
We are looking for donations of mens ‘guards’ and womens incontinence pads – like Poise or Always Discreet.
We will accept unopened packages or packages that are opened and one or two removed. They can be dropped off at any time during our business hours – Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm. Thank you!
We are also looking for donations of ‘portable’ wheelchairs. They can be the standard model (with the big back wheels) or the transport model (with all 4 smaller wheels), but they need to be able to fold for easy access into a car trunk.
The Health Equipment Lending Program depends on your donations of durable medical equipment
Bariatric equipment, heavy duty pieces of home medical equipment designed for those people who weigh 300 pounds or more, are always in need. Bariatric wheelchairs, shower/bathtub chairs, walkers and rollators are items we can always use.
The top requested items for loan in 2023, that we were not always able to fulfill, were:
- Large wheelchairs (measuring more than 18″ across)
- Hoyer lifts
- Standers (Sera Steady, Sit to Stand and Manual pivot standers)
- Pedalers (that can be used on the floor or table top for hands)
- Over-bed tables – for use with hospital beds
We get many requests for working lift chairs. Since these items cannot be sanitized like our other loaned equipment, we make these available for purchase at a fair price. If you have one to donate, it must be in working condition, be free from major stains and come from a non-smoking home.
We also get many requests for mobility scooters and power wheelchairs. If you have one to donate, think of us! Due to the cost of replacement batteries, these items MUST be in working condition and come from a pet-free, smoke-free home.
When we have a surplus of medical equipment, they benefit the less fortunate. These items occasionally get shipped with Good News Project to the West Indies. There have been opportunities for us to supply medical equipment to developing nations worldwide, or to countries facing recent disasters.
