2026 Service Trip Announcement
Good News Project is proud to announce the return to St. Lucia in January of 2026. This service trip will be in honor of GNP Co-Founder Peggy MacCarthy. In her memory, we will be giving the gift of play to the children of Monchy Primary School.


Castries, St. Lucia – Saturday, January 10th – Saturday, January 24th (~$3300 – $3500 per person)
Group of up to 18 to stay at Archdiocesan Pastoral Centre in Castries, St. Lucia
- Install playground equipment at Monchy Primary School
- Update current education room structure at Monchy Primary School
- There may be opportunities to visit other schools, nursing homes, soup kitchens and home visits with the Missionaries of Charity. This will be dependent on the playground installation progress during week one.
- Includes two GNP logo t-shirt
- Trip Leaders:

- Volunteer Support: Rouleen Gartner
Trip Cost approximately $3,300 – $3,500 per person
- Cost per Person: $1,600 paid to Good News Project (includes room, board and transportation on the island for two weeks, 2 shirts and travel insurance policy coverage up to $1,600)
- Roundtrip airfare estimated around $1,500 per person paid to airline (not to GNP)
- Trip may require overnight stays while traveling to and from St. Lucia and additional money for souvenirs or weekend island experiences (this would be an additional expense ~$200-$500. These expenses are paid by the participant.)
Applications are due by Thursday, March 6th at midnight.
Good News Project will contact you via email to acknowledge your application. We cannot guarantee that all applicants will be selected for the trip as there are a set number of openings due to accommodations and in-country transportation logistics. When we send you the email acknowledgement, you will also receive a timeline for the selection process.
